Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar is a Pakistani writer, director, and producer known primarily for his work in Urdu-language television and films. He is considered a controversial figure due to his outspoken views and polarizing statements.
He gained significant recognition for writing the dramas Boota From Toba Tek Singh and Landa Bazar. He has also penned several successful television series, including Pyarey Afzal, Sadqay Tumhare, and Mere Paas Tum Ho, the latter becoming a massive commercial success but also attracting criticism for its portrayal of women.
In film, he has written screenplays for movies such as Punjab Nahi Jaungi and London Nahi Jaunga, both of which were commercially successful.
